Fintech is short for Financial Technology and it is the application of new information technologies to products and services in the financial industry.  Fintech is very broad in nature and it ranges from payment processing, robo-advisory, personal finance software, crowdfunding platforms, peer-to-peer lending, and virtual currencies.

Genomics involves the study of DNA sequencing and gene therapy.   The CRISPR gene-editing technology has shown tremendous potential for treating a wide range of diseases including cancers and neurodegenerative disorders.  It poises to disrupt the big pharma business model and create a market for next-generation disease prevention.
